Who is EXIsport?
EXIsport.com is an online store specializing in the sale of sportswear, footwear, and equipment. With an extensive range of products from leading global brands, EXIsport.com meets the needs of sports enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. The company prides itself on offering high-quality products and excellent customer service, both online and in its numerous brick-and-mortar stores across the country.
What did we create for them ?
Creating this e-shop was a challenge and a test for us at the same time. During 3/4 years, we were constantly developing new and new functionalities, connections to the cash registers, warehouses in individual stores, and loyalty systems. The online store works with internal systems and databases, where thousands of goods and price items are constantly updated. In our team, we designed more than 27 special tailored modules.

Responsiveness
The navigation menu for the mobile version is optimized for UX, and the display of products is adapted for all platforms, including iOS and Android.
Products are sorted by brands with the option to present the brand and its products.
Fully responsive design for desktops, tablets and mobile phones
A complete import of old customers from the original website, their loyalty cards, and two-factor verification has been migrated to the new website. The repeat payment feature supports Tatrapay, Cardpay, Cetelem, and Viamo.
The e-shop is fully optimized for on-page SEO according to current standards. Products have badges such as “discount” or “sale,” displaying current discounts either numerically or in percentages.
Special and tailor-made functions in the form of modules
We have developed numerous special and custom-made features for the e-shop in the form of modules, such as product matching, cleansing, and creation of XML data feeds for Heureka and other price comparison sites. Another important module is the “Other customers also bought” feature, which increases user engagement. To ensure product availability, we have implemented stock control across all stores in Slovakia.
Another feature is matching the values of individual product combinations, continuously monitoring the “New Arrivals” and “Sale” categories based on tags inherited from IS EXIsport, and pairing size variants with new, unified definitions for the e-shop. Product attributes are imported and subsequently filtered. Page caching ensures maximum performance and loading speed on the available server hardware.
Blog
We have implemented automatic redirects for old product and category URLs, and a blog for news and articles.
Flyer
An interactive online flyer has been created, which is clickable and opens the respective product in a new window.
Optimization and Search
Product names are automatically cleansed, with prefixes and tags for internal use removed. Rich snippets for Google continuously send information about products, prices, and combinations. Versioning of CSS and JS styles automatically notifies the user’s browser to load the current version in case of changes on the site. A cookie consent message is displayed, and elastic search functionality is applied to search for words or phrases with grammatical errors, typos, or singular vs. plural forms.
The Lazy Load Images function ensures smooth page loading by loading product images only when they are actually visible. The Infinite Scroll function allows additional products to be loaded by clicking the “load more” button. A system for creating ski packages has also been implemented.
Delivery and Shipping
GeisPoint allows customers to define a pickup location as an additional type of shipping through the API.
The e-shop features a 3D product image viewer and asynchronous image uploading with drag & drop functionality. Special emails are sent to stores and warehouses upon order creation. The EXIsport.com site is secured by an SSL certificate, and all fields in the shopping cart undergo double validation.
The system is fully integrated with the Linpos system for customer loyalty card verification. Rules for cross-sell products are based on data from IS EXIsport. The GEIS carrier module includes a fully processed API connection for order dispatch. A comprehensive order splitting system ensures the selection of appropriate warehouses for product shipment, checks the current stock status in all warehouses, uses loyalty or coupon discounts, and defines the last warehouse from which goods are shipped.
